The focus of my research focus is on surface modification using laser processing of predominantly metallic materials. The processes used include ablation, laser chemical ablation, remelt polishing and structuring, as well as high-speed drilling. Pulsed picosecond and nanosecond lasers as well as CW lasers and the process engineering use of laser-induced shock waves are used.
